18B Posted July 24, 2023 Share Posted July 24, 2023 Hi, Were the Great Western Sleeper trains running on a Saturday night into a Sunday during 1997. IIRC they weren't? For if one they had been then wouldn't they have become the first privatised trains to operate when the franchise was passed to Great Western 4 February 1997? 8K77 Posted July 24, 2023 Share Posted July 24, 2023 The 4th Feb 1997 in the UK was a Tuesday so the Up & Down Night Riv would have been the 1st trains to operate for Great Western Trains.
