DCB
After many attempts at trying to improve the Hornby "Desmond" Caley Pug chassis with non see through wheels I finally had success. I did try Romfords, which have really ugly centre nuts, and I can't afford them Marklin with far too many spokes, old style Triang, (seemed a bit pointless) Now I cracked it I popped the standard wheels off, stuck them in the new lathe, direct drive this one, very narrow cutting tool, full speed and I cut the disc out behind the spokes. Vast improvement, and cheap, unless you count the cost of the lathe... I tried a few in the old Myford years ago but it was too slow. Another bonus the Triang return crank crank pin from the Brit and Princess can be fitted to allow walschaerts gear to be easily bodged, Result 6
