Twyford model shop has closed down

As I was in the area I thought I'd pop in for a look around but it has now closed down. Peering thru the glass, you could still see some stock on the shelves but the back door to the shop was open and there was a van parked there, presumably to clear the stock.

 

I therefore assume closure was very recent. Shame

Very sorry to hear this. On the dolls house side, they did commission work, including for commercial customers. The closure must be very recent indeed. Our local club had strong links with the shop and nothing was said last Tuesday. I dare say I'll find out tonight. they were due to have a stand at our exhibition later this month: https://www.lvmrc.co.uk/2023-exhibition/.

At club this evening, I was told by those who had connections with the shop that proprietor decided it was time to retire and move to Cornwall.

 

I understand that it was the dolls house side of the business that had been keeping things going of late.
