GBRf66701 Posted January 13 Share Posted January 13 I'm trying to link three alpha encoders together to run the alpha switch system with digital IP motors with a sniffer power supply. Only the encoder connected to the sniffer is changing points, the other two are connected with the input output plugs but will not change any points. can anyone help? jaym481 Posted January 13 Share Posted January 13 Have you set addresses according to the instructions? In other words, if the three are linked, you can set the first address and it should address the rest of the inputs sequentially. Are you getting power to all three? GBRf66701 Posted January 14 Author Share Posted January 14 I've sorted the issue out. You need to have a push button in every slot on the alpha switch board for the encoder to work. Bit strange because I now have 4 redundant buttons inside the control panel but atleast it is working. I tried to call them Saturday but it said there phone line was closed.
