Adrian Olsen
I have a DCS210+ with DT602 Controller. I seem to have developed a problem when trying to read/write CVs on the Programming Track (no issue writing with POM method). All has been fine up to this week, when things started to go awry. I’ve checked the wires from the appropriate sockets on the 210 into my decoder tester board (ESU) - all seem fine. When I try to read or write a CV, the decoder/motor runs off at high speed and won’t stop, nor will it read the requested CV. Only way to stop the run-away motor is to disconnect power and reset. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any observations and/or suggestions welcome. thanks
Nigelcliffe
First: isolate the fault. Do you get the same if you try to read/write with a different decoder in the ESU board ? If only one single decoder with issue, there's your answer its the decoder. If both decoders move on to next test. What happens if you try a loco with a decoder already fitted ? If no-fault, then probable issue with ESU board, if still faulty start to suspect fault in DCS210, which means talking to supplying dealer (or if self imported, discussing with Digitrax how to return to Florida for repairs). Adrian Olsen
Thanks for this……my tests suggest it might be the DCS210+. 🫤
