RMweb Premium Metropolitan H Posted January 28 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 28 Another smallish wheeled 2-4-0T with inside cylinders, that might suit, would be GWR (ex Liskerard & LLooe Railway) No. 1308 "Lady Margaret". Nearholmer
A good place to look for early 2-4-0T is the Jersey Railway, who then sold them as they down-gauged, one to the Jersey Eastern, but others elsewhere - “Haro! Haro!” (Any other loco have two exclamation marks in its name?) ended up at a brickworks in Essex, for instance. Magnificent cab, eh? Talltim
Why would you name a loco "Help! Help!"?
Nearholmer
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clameur_de_haro Still doesn’t entirely explain why you’d name a loco after it, but there are plenty of locos with very strange names! If anything, Gazelle looks more like a toy than the original model at the start of the thread does. Also, she is not well laid out for hiding the motor and worm in this case. But she does show the extreme of design possibilities.
