Combe Martin
Has anyone on here managed to successfully motorise semaphore ground signals, and if so what mechanism did you use ?
Nigelcliffe
Servo with appropriate movement reduction mechanism. These days I'd design and 3D print my own, to get the mechanical movement required from (almost) full-throw of the servo motor. Commercially, the Dingo Servo Mounts would be where I'd direct someone to look. I'd try to avoid servo mechanisms where the servo has to be set to only move a few degrees - too many risks that something causes an over-shoot or twitch, leading to a large movement angle and damaging mechanism or signal.
Combe Martin
Many thanks for that. I presume your not referring to a 2mm model.
