dasatcopthorne
A very few of you will have seen posts regarding this H0 layout in the 'Exhibition' section but little else has appeared here. Built and owned by our Club Member, Graham Broad, in 2019 it won the Continental Modeller mag Best Layout at the Warley show. I thought it was about time to post a few pics. Dave. Ben B
That looks a very nice layout, lots of really interesting scenes, and love that signal box! Loads of character.
RMweb Premium Neil Posted March 27 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 27 I remember this from Warley (I think), spent more time in front of it than many of the better known layouts.

grahamb44
Thanks for the comments. Villefranche-la-Chapelle is my layout and has been out to loads of shows around the country over the last 10 to 15 years, so some of you might have seen it. It's set somewhere in France in the 1990s, with electric locos and diesel shunting mostly. All traditional DC with a small fiddle yard behind. Usually operated from the front, but there is a controller at the back so that the passenger train can run in and out on the top level. I was thinking of selling it at some point this year, but not really sure what it would be worth. It has bookings at Chatham in July and Worthing in September, so I will probably advertise it there, or at the SNCF Society meet at Ashtead in June.
grahamb44
Here's some more pictures of the layout
grahamb44
Some pictures of what the layout looks like at an exhibition. It has its own lighting system in the fascia boards at the top. It is 10 ft long on 2 boards, so it needs a fairly long estate car to fit easily.
dasatcopthorne
Sad to say, but yes, the layout is up for sale! Dave.
