Scratchbuilding a B1 5 inch scale

I am not Mr Crispin, but I thought people might be interested in following this chap, it's going to be a slow burn he's been building this for 14 years although to be fair he was at school when he started and then spent some time as a Rolls Royce apprentice.

Apologies if I appear pedantic but the loco is 5" gauge (about 1.1"/1foot scale) not "5 inch scale".  Full marks to the builder for his efforts though - there aren't enough many young model engineers.
