boxerbayrailway
Hello All, I'm considering building a 3 x 6' TT layout as a nostalgia trip to my youth - my first railway was TT with East German BTTB trains etc.... Has anyone tried using a mix of Hornby & Tillig track together ? They appear to be exact copies of each other. Reason I'm asking is I'd like to utilize the Tillig curved turnouts with my plan, but don't want any surprise issues. Cheers, Felix
rekoboy
Should be no problem. See the post in this forum by Nimbus in February 2023.
Peachy
Yes I’ve mixed them on a shunting puzzle I’m building at my local club (not something appearing on my YouTube channel, so this isn’t self promotion) I’ve also shoehorned in some Peco HOm 12mm gauge out of sight in the fiddle yard as this is code 75 (only the tiniest bit lower than Hornby’s code 80) It’s a lot cheaper when found second hand. The Peco HOm sleeper scale is of course way out. But it’s out of site in the yard.
dunnyrail
I have tried to marry up Hornby track to Peco TT120 track, thus far fishplates nit happy. I think a bit of easing may be the trick. How did you manage it @Peachy?
