Badger boy
Hi - I'm doing a bit of layout research and wondered if anybody can let me know of any single line branch line terminus that had 2 facing platforms rather than main and bay ? Any region would be fine. Thanks in advance Edited April 29 by Badger boy correction

stivesnick
A few more: Largs, Milngavie, Oban, Buxton and Sheerness on Sea. If you are modelling the post Beeching era, there are many former through routes that were cut back so a through station became a terminus. pH
North Berwick (August 1961). The branch from Drem Junction was built as double track, but was singled soon after construction. Edited April 30 by pH
Michael Hodgson
Whitby (after removal of Platforms 3&4 to build the Co-op). If you call it a branch? Was reduced to one platform but now has a Platfrom 2 again, used by NYMR trains

PatB
Although Seaton was technically main and bay, the bay was long enough, and heavily enough used on the mythical summer Saturday, that the difference was probably a bit academic.
MarkC
Filey Holiday Camp Disregard - this was a double track approach. Still an interesting prototype though... Edited April 30 by MarkC
