RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted July 27, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 27, 2010 The NRM are having a 'Railway' sand sculpture built in the south yard. According to This website it should be finished by Thursday and will be on display until September. Not sure what it is going to be (perhaps a Rolf Harris design!) but new photos are being put up regularly.
Chameleon
Speed to the west? Sounds like a representation of an old railway poster.
sixteen 12by 10s
Very Good It seems a bit ironic to me that this should be considered art. Locomotives new and old require iron castings, most of which are cast in sand. The craftsman who made the moulds, were not considered as “artist†and were just doing there everyday job. Shame there nearly all gone........... Gary Foundryman
craigwelsh
Maybe this is a cunning way to get some new castings done, they'll be asked to do some odd shapes next..
