smudgeloco
Hi guys, I had a set of peco finescale code 75 live frog points that had an electrical problem. When I selected for straight though, the points shorted out. If I selected the curved route things were fine. For the life of me, I could not find the fault, even under a magnifying glass. Then today, I took another look at the problem, and wallah, I found the fault. I thought this might be of interest to you guys, so I post this for your enlightenment. I know I am going to solder wires across from switch rail to stock-rail, which is really replacing the short. But I still had to find where the problem lay. I hope this is of use to someone. Michael. RMweb Premium mezzoman253 Posted July 28, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 28, 2010 Hi Michael, Glad you finally found the problem. I'd email Peco to let them know about it, maybe a bad batch. Very unusually though. Now you can get back to your layout. Regards, Rob
