andykwilkinson Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Hi, as indicated on the old RM Web some months ago... just to confirm our Ely & District Model Railway Club Open day will be held on Saturday 28th Nov 2009 in the Main Hall at Soham Comrades Club. IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO AN ERROR (By BRM, not us!) THEY HAVE PRINTED IT INCORRECTLY AS 15th NOV IN THEIR CURRENT MAGAZINE. All other rail mags we submitted the information to have printed it correctly as Sat 28th Nov (I might add). The Event will be at Soham Comrades Club, Market Street, CB7 5JG (The Comrades Club is right in the center of Soham, opposite the Fountain Pub). We open the doors at 10.30AM until 4.00PM on Saturday 28th Nov. There is a car park and bar will be open late morning (and usually has a Real Ale on too!). There is a chip shop opposite the Comrades Club and other places to get refreshments close by. Admission is just a Quid....so if you live in the area why not come and see what we are doing? The following club and members layouts will be on show: OSHAWA (New HO American) by Martin Spense GILLSBROOK (4mm) by Brian Smith DAWTON NEW STREET (N) by David Evans A Brand New 7mm NG Layout (still under construction and to be named) by Malcolm Hine A Brand New N Gauge Layout (early stages of construction) by Ely & D MRC TASHVALE (N) by Ely & District MRC RAMSEY (OO) by Ely & District MRC Plus Demos on wagon and building construction.
