Conory
Hallo, I picked up this Perseverance chassis etch for a GWR Metro at a Model show a couple of years ago. There were no instructions and there are a few items on it that I'm not sure about. Can anyone identify the following bits? 1. Top right- 2 ovals with 2 holes 2. Top right- 4 thin strips 3. 4 items to the left of No. 2 4. 2 items just below the left hand balance weight. Thanks Julian
Bruciethefish
No.4 fits in the recess half-etched in the ashpan area, directly between the two driving axle centres to represent the supports for the ashpan.... Havent a clue about No.2, I'm afraid...
Conory
So to summarise. No. 1 is the bit you can't see on photographs because it's always directly behind the cab footsteps. Unfortunately none of the drawings (Skinley, Templar) ever show what's hidden either. No. 3. guard irons No. 2. could be the diagonals betwwen the guard irons and the frames. No. 4. ashpan supports Thanks for the help. Julian
