Adrian Wintle
Hi all, Whilst browsing for something else entirely, this came up; http://bridgehunter.com/category/railroad/ I found it rather interesting and thought maybe someone else might like it too? Cheers, John E. That's a nice resource. There is also a thread on the Atlas N-scale forum called Trains in Pics...Bridges that has some interesting pics. Look at the 4th pic on the thread for a really low clearance... Adrian
RMweb Premium chris-shay Posted August 2, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 2, 2010 I always though that this bridge over highway 2 in Washington state on Steven pass is worthy of a model, although to be honest you'd probably think that it wasn't very prototypical... http://www.gngoat.org/sp07_18.JPG
Mike Boucher
I always though that this bridge over highway 2 in Washington state on Steven pass is worthy of a model, although to be honest you'd probably think that it wasn't very prototypical... http://www.gngoat.org/sp07_18.JPG I've always been partial to the ex-Rutland bridge over Vermont route 103 about 5 miles southeast of Rutland. It looks like someone misread the blueprints... http://www.railpictu...d=298439&nseq=3 Take a close look at the abutment just to the right of the center of the photo. The bottom of the truss rests on it. The next section is attached to the "top" of that truss. Just always looked wrong to me. BTW - A photo of this bridge is the cover of Jim Shaughnessy's "The Rutland Road" book
