It's not often I get out train-spotting, but I made a special effort today as there were a few specials booked through for the Tall Ships at Hartlepool. The local trains have been specially strengthened today, but even so they were leaving passengers behind at Billingham.

 

First through at 12:48 was 47712 Pride of Carlisle with at Northern Rail / DRS Sunderland to Darlington extra tailed by 57004:

 

 

Then 10 minutes later was 67 with 67021 tailing with 11 Mk1s and a Mk2b ECS from Hartlepool to presumably Heaton. I'm not sure of the origin or the train but it looked like a diner:

 

 

Then 17 mintues later was the late running Grand Central 12:30 Sunderland to KX:

 

 

Then a strengthed Middlebrough to Hexham local:

 

 

Then a Hexham to Middlesbrough local:

 

 

The last train I saw was 57004 and 47802 with at Northern Rail / DRS Darlington to Sunderland:
