CullingworthGNR
Pretty much as it reads! I'd like to get a Hornby 33 and use the chassis to refit some Lima 26s for better running. Can anyone confirm whether the chassis are shared or not? They appear to be but I'm not sure! Cheers
ChrisB
I don't know for sure but I'd be very surprised if they weren't.
Jamie
In model form they were. It is most correct for the 33.
CullingworthGNR
Yes, I just meant in model form! Thanks for your help.
Andrew F
Are Hornby releasing a 33?, I'm behind the times again. The original Lima 33 chassis was incorporated into the 26/27 except the body mounted without the exposed lugs and just clipped inside the chassis. The 33 tanks were wrong for the 26/27 and the bogies themselves have quite a bit of detail missing in comparison to the Heljan ones. It may be a better bet to buy a cheap Heljan 33 (last time I looked there were some for £39 from Hattons) and sell the shell on. There have been quite a few conversions of Heljan chassis/Lima body shell, especially before the 26/27 was introduced by Heljan, so it fits without much hassle.
