trisonic
There's some big ones around. Here's one that is local to me built in a 128 foot by 68 foot room: The Model Railroad Club of Union County. The late Paul Mallery was Club President. Here's a photo:http://www.tmrci.com/photo%20gallery/ho%20layout/HOmar2006.JPG How'd you get a link like that, Jack???? Best, Pete.
shortliner
Pete - you have to belong to too many groups, like this one http://www.railroad-...?TOPIC_ID=30790 on one of the sidebars on the links that I posted previously - there is a link to the Fort Myers layout - and that is a nice one, too! alcoRS1
The big one local to me is the Columbia Gorge Model Railroad, it in a room 60x70, not as big as the one in NY. it has over half of real miles in mainline, and just about as much for sidings, yards. then there is the hidden area, which is underneath the layout, has 10ftx8ft helixes, major yards, staging yards, it take about 10 people to run the under operations, and another 10 to run the top section. The total actual mileage of track is 3 miles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-z4Gyum36Y&feature=player_embedded
