Thanks for reminding me to load some Scott Joplin onto my MP3. Whether it's "Maple Leaf Rag", as here - or "The Entertainer" or "Solace", straight out of "The Sting" - I've always liked that stuff. I just wish I knew how to play it.

 

I also liked some of the other stuff linked from that YouTube video - especially the Lindeblad animation of a grand piano assembling itself (and there was plenty of good stuff linked to that, too).

I agree it's a gem but as a piano student, it's not a useful fingering guide because at some points there appear to be 11 balls!

 

I quite like the sound of ragtime but they look fiendish to play!
