I've just finished working on what we call a 'bookazine' (halfway between a magazine and a book). It's called 'Western Celebration' and its about all that's best about the GWR with lots of great photos and information about the GWR and the various events, specials, galas etc for GWR175.There's lots of 'Castle' stuff including May 9 1964 and this year's 'Bristolian' record-breaker. There's also a directory of over 120 English Heritage listed GWR structures and an expert look at City of Truro's 102.3MPH claim. It's been really great writing about my favourite subject - I hope you'll enjoy it. £7.50 in Smiths, newsagents, and at preservation sites and museums.
