Dawg Posted September 8, 2013 Share Posted September 8, 2013 Not much help from me, but I clearly remember the line - I went to an event at Haydock racecourse years ago and had a good look at the station platforms, track in situ and in use. I believe Haydock Racecourse station which was only perhaps 1/2 mile along the line from Ashton station was used for raceday specials in the '70's?! Another idea for stock & locos!
