Klink
Hi guys, thought Id share my near finished current project: giving a Bachmann 'Royal Scot' a repaint into the British Railways 1948 experimental Apple Green livery. I had to base the colour scheme solely off of information in 'The Big Four in Colour'. The paint is Railmatch Doncaster and Malachite Green mixed with Humbrol gloss yellow sprayed over base coats of Railmatch Universal primer and a thin layer of Darlington Green. I dont know if the Royal Scots ever had this livery but the model was very cheap from Hattons and given its less amount of detail and fragile parts it makes a great guinea pig. I am still to add tenderplate, shed code (5A) and to line the other side.
