simplex Posted November 27, 2010 Share Posted November 27, 2010 Last weekend at the Kew Bridge 16mm show, a friend was running his fairly new Accucraft Countess when the sight glass blew. Luckily it was just before the public arrived but it gave us a bit of a fright. Another 16miller came over and said "that will be the sight glass then" even before he saw it. It seems this is a common problem, and to the credit of the importers, Pearse Locomotives it is being dealt with. so if you or your friends have one of these lovely machines, contact Pearse or your original supplier who will send out a stronger replacement with thicker, heat treated glass.
