NSB_IE
I am in the process of painting and assembling some buildings for my layout and am currently working on the wooden platforms. I have painted as per the instructions, but am left with a very dull and monotone finish. What I am after is like this image Can anyone give me some tips (complete newbie) or refer me to articles online? I would be very grateful.
jonas
I have found priming grey and then using a Citadel (Games Workshop) wash called Devlan Mud over the top works a treat - especially if your kit has moulded grain. Prime grey, then slop it on - its designed to run into the detail and will evaporate without 'pooling'. Looks ace. There was also a great tutorial I had bookmarked that used a similar idea but used artists inks...but the page has gone I'm afraid.
