Due to the lack of care and trespass by railway enthusiasts in observing and photographing steam specials British Rail will not issue point to point timings for the 1976 steam tour season.

The former Midland railway station Gloucester Eastgate station the line between Tuffey Junction and Eastgate closed on the 1st December 1975. All services are now concentrated on the former Great Western Railway station Gloucester Central.

In the first major change to the “Corporate Blue†policy suburban and local DMU’s and EMU’s will generally receive “blue/grey†intercity livery instead of corporate blue.

Class 52 Western’s 1046and 1064 were involved in a depot collision at Laira and withdrawn.

A number of the above were photographed later in life and can be found in this collection. As always feedback and comments welcome
