First post on the new forum might aswell take the plunge

North Eastern Steam is a series filmed as if it's footage filmed on the North Eastern Region of BR in the late 50s and early 60s.

The series intends to document different areas on a railway, country station, main line station, large MPD etc

plus looking into the different class's used on the Ex LNER route as the lines represent the ECML

I'm 24, so this is may way of trying to relive something I never saw, my way of trying to be

that boy with the jotter writing numbers and names like 60130 'KESTREL' and 60017 'SILVER FOX'

Episode 1 'A Day in the life of East Allerton'

We start at 5 am with the morning milk train, and stay throughout the day watching, fast freight, express's and pick up goods, at this small country station on the East Coast Main Line.

Episode 2 'The Thompson Pacifics'

Edward Thompson became Chief Mechanical Engineer in 1941, after the death of Sir Nigel Gresley. A Controversial Figure who's pacifcs for many years have been frowned upon. In this episode we shall look at an example of the class, and see if the locos are as bad as they are made out to be.
