Grant Newhouse
Hi all I was looking through some old magazines and came across an artical on the IOMR. I love the look of the beyer Peacock 2-4-0's and was woundering if any one knows if the branchlines chassis for the GEM kits can be made to run on 9mm gauge track. Personally i wouldn't mine a fleet of Peacock 2-4-0's but i dont have room for a 00n3 layout alongside my 009 layout! any thoughts would be greatly apreciated Grant
Dominic Taylor
If the gearbox allows! and with a lot of modification! Simple answer is NEW layout! It's a good enough Excuse!!
Grant Newhouse
I guess your right. Only problem is convincing my mom for more space! Ahh well, I’ll keep it in mind for a future layout.
Grant Newhouse
or make a layout conveyer. hit a butten and the oo9 layout comes down, then the 00n3 layout and so on
invercloy
I think you can build most of their kits to 9mm gauge. Might be worth asking on NGRM, I know people on there have built Branchlines kits before and you'll be talking to a wider audience too.
