AMJ
You could hard wire it into the loco or the alternative method would be to get one of the ESU adaptor plates (available from Howes etc) to solder all of the wires onto. Test loco on DC with a blanking plate and then when you are happy swap blanking plug for the DCC sound project. This way if at a later date you decide to get say a Bachmann loco you could easily swap the project into the other loco. Alternatively it makes reprogramming the sound chip easier as you could send just the chip rather than a full loco.

RMweb Gold CovDriver Posted January 19, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 19, 2011 I can totally agree with that I've just put mine into a new Hornby railroad class 40 and the whistle is a little bit to to much on the ears !! But great thrash and the horns are brilliant !!
