Pleased to see that there is a direct connection back to the original company and Julian's designs. He was a regular at the Derby shows and for many years I helped him cram all those wooden panels that made up his stand into his battered old landrover before he set off on his return to Scotland.

 

Interesting that All Components are now advertising controllers that look very similar to the originals which they say are 'Inspired by KPC'

Julian was also a regular at Wakefield and I have several of his controllers. However I was once told that Julians designs were based on the original ECM Compspeed controllers and that he had once worked ror ECM before setting up KPC. I used to have an ECM and found it very good.

Were these the people that had a rather nice N gauge SR emu layout controlled by colour light signals?

I've got 2 ECM Compspeeds surplus . I used to run four some years back, one found a new 'home' fitted to the wire drive motor on my MIG welder, a good improvement, and still works well. Is there still a want for these, be interested from anyone interested in purchase. Beeman.
