craigwelsh
Can you get phosphoric acid over there? That would be the simplest but you don't really state what type of Carrs flux and what its used for.

Sandy Harper
If you are soldering brass or N/S,( or white metal) any plumbers flux will do. They are designed to flush away in water and not leave any residue. Back home Fry's Power Flo or similar is very popular, either used neat or diluted with water. davknigh
I have been using Kester fluxes here in Canada and a quick check of their website http://www.kester.com/Home/tabid/144/Default.aspx would seem to indicate that their products should be available in the USA. They also have the usual MSDS to determine the uses & hazards. HTH David
craigwelsh
Brass to Brass and whitemetal to whitemetal , DC Snr A Brit in the USA Phosphoric acid strength 9% and 6% would do for those.
Metropolitan
Phosphoric acid strength 9% and 6% would do for those. Absolutely. But I would go 14% and 12% and add a drip of wetting agent.
