RMweb Premium NGT6 1315 Posted January 23, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 23, 2011 Evening all! Been a while since I last touched upon any practical modelling-related topics, but I may soon start a small loco superdetailing job for which I'd like to ask for your suggestions. Right now, I'd be interested in the following: I'd like to imitate the roller blinds usually found inside the windscreens of modern locos – the loco in question having two independent parallel blinds, one for each half of the windscreen. The question now is 1) which materials best to use and 2) how to imitate the guides for the blinds down the central strut and to the outside of each half. I thought I'd better ask this well before putting the loco in the works, lest I ruin anything by going about it with inappropriate techniques. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions and (possibly) personal experience!
