computrains
Hi Everyone I'm new here so hope I'm not starting a thread that is already running! Can anyone help? I'm using Digitrax and Railroad and Co. On a new project, I'd like to use Cobalt point motors with Digitrax's DS64 stationary decoders. Are there any special wiring considerations? (I realise I'll need to set OpSw 01 to closed for slow motion points).
Andy LMRG
I've not used Cobalt but looking at their instruction sheet the answer is no. Simply connecting the two outside (motor) contacts to the DS64 should be fine. Connect to 1R & 1G (or the 2,3,4 equivalents) and power the DS64 as the Digitrax manual. We use Tortoise on DS64s and they have the same terminal configuration judging by the Cobalt sheet.
