Rick_A
Hello folks, quick question i cant find an answer to. Are the Hornby diesel locos 4/6 axle drives like the Bachmann and vitrains? Or are they still single bogey drive with the track tyres? Cheers Rick
AMJ
The only one I have is the class 31 and that's all 6 axles - more driven than the real thing!
34theletterbetweenB&D
They are a mixture. Main range models of classes 30/31, 43, 50, 56, 60, 67 have a centre motor all wheel drive. All other twin bogie locos in both the Hornby and Railroad ranges are single motor bogie powered, and most or all have traction tyres. Might be worth adding that the main range 08 has a very sweet running drive with flywheel, no traction tyres. If you go to Hornby's site there are diagrams for all their locos, so you can take a look at the arrangements. http://www.Hornby.co...ts,103,HAR.html
