michaelp
Hi all, I got the Knightwing double fuel storage kit (PM116) what is the best way and which materials to use to build the small brick walls that are usually found around these structures. Any help would be much appreciated. Michael
corax67
The retaining wall (bund) is usually made from poured concrete and if you were to represent that then you can use plain plasticard and spray it with a textured spray or Halfords primer then drybrush to the colour of choice. michaelp
Thanks for that Karl, The tanks at the site I am going to model has a brick wall around it but I'm unsure whose products would be best to build the wall......any ideas? shortliner
Don't foget a handpump on the wall to get rid of rainwater!
corax67
If you have a pic it would help but you could go with foamcore board (available from craft/artist supply shops) and then face this with Slaters embossed plastikard which comes in A4 sheets and a range of brick styles, details of which are here on the Slaters site: https://slatersplastikard.com/plastikard/embossed.php If in doubt as to what style is which then look at the PDF flyer https://slatersplastikard.com/assets/pdfs/EmbossedFlyer.pdf

corax67
Impossible to tell as on my laptop the image pixelates on extreme zoom but you should be OK with English Bond I would have thought - sheet ref:0399.
