Ninety minutes of pure nostalgia.

This documentary describes the line's beginnings, it's heyday, and demise, using documents, maps, photos, equipment, etc; interspersed with film clips, B&W and colour, taken, mostly, in the line's latter days.

The Presenter visits, and films, the majority, if not all, of what remains of the historical locations. The bonuses, are the interviews with the remaining staff, who worked the S'n D.... One big happy family, by all accounts.

All in all, a well rounded piece of armchair viewing, IMO.

In response to this post I ordered a copy.

90mins of very interesting and well researched viewing. A proper production too, more in keeping from a pukka broadcaster than 'shaky uncle Frank and his home video camera type production' so typical of many enthusiast sell-through DVDs.

Highly recommended.
