M Graff
Evening all! I got my DAVO Indian Four today . A first inspection shows a very high quality casting! A very nice looking model in my opinion. After opening the bag, it looked like this: There wasn´t so much casting flash, what was there was very easy to remove with an X-acto #11. What impressed me most was that there are no imperfections in the casting anywhere, and that the handlebar is etched in brass. I primed it with a black primer and then I put on a red color from Vallejo using my Airbrush. I brushpainted the details with a 00 paintbrush and used Vallejo-Air colors as they are thin enough to brushpaint with. This is how it looks right now: I haven´t put on the black wash yet. It will bring out the details even more. These kits are highly recommended! The price of € 8.80 (€5+€3.80 shipping) is not to complain about either. Allegheny1600
Very nice looking model, well built sir! Found the website: http://www.davomodel...alog_modelu.htm Thank goodness for Google translate as I can't remember any Czech from my brief visit in 1990! Some very interesting models there. John E. M Graff
Well, they are in fact historical documents by now . I bought my DAVO via eBay from Dr René Novotný in Prague, he is a big DAVO seller as far as I know. He can be reached at: novmuf(at)centrum.cz (replace the (at) with @) I contacted him in English with no problems. I paid with a standard EU bank transfer to his Bank in Germany.
