OK.

 

So, this challenge has finally got me to creep out from behind the cloak of RMWeb lurkdom and finally build something with all the bits and pieces that have been amassed over the past years.

 

At the moment, I'm not entirely sure exactly what will be modelled, but it will at least be:

 

• 4mm scale, using P4 track standards
  
• Mid-to-late noughties freight, preferably in an urban landscape
  
• Operated via DCC, using Lenz equipment
  
• Linked up to the computer, running JMRI, both for control and for layout sound purposes
  
• Use MERG CBUS for layout control (points and feedback)
  

 

Ideally, I'm looking to incorporate some intermodal workings (to make use of some of the Bachmann and Dapol intermodal wagons that I seem to have bought rather a lot of).

 

Better crack on with brushing up the XTrackCad skills.....
