N Gauge diorama

While not strictly a layout, it will form part of a model railway based display, Saturday 30th April.

No, we are not talking about a model railway exhibition, just me, some trains and this diorama.

OK, while the wife isn't looking, take one place mat and drill several 3mm diameter holes.

I didn't have enough seated figures, so I sent several down the pub and they came back legless................................................................

I have added 4 'street' lights, to provide lumination.

The upright posts are start of a big 'tent' structure, which will be open at one end.

Add a vicar, bride and groom, best man, brides maids, photographer,...............

Plenty of time to get it finished.............

Oh, I need to test my trains, make sure the couplings are ok, set up my table and make sure it goes together..............................................

Will I get it done??

Watch out for the next thrilling installment of WEDDING PAVILION.

The model had 16 standing fugures, 146 seated and I built 16 bench seats from hardwood strips.

The diorama was displaayed outside my wifes shoe shop, in Hunstanton, all day on Saturday, together with a circuit of Kato Unitrak, a Royal Train (with Electra Railway Graphics vinyl sides on the Dapol Mk3 coaches) and a Dapol Wrexham and Shropshire bookset taking it in turns to run round.

All in all, it was an interesting experience and certainly attracted interest throughout the day.

Not everything went according to plan. However, my diorama set piece did get completed and displayed.
