The Square
Chris, Are you the fireman here? I though driver and fireman were on oposite sides of the firebox. Geoff. I'd guess Chris is trainee driving. It's been a good 5 years since I last volunteered, though at long last i'll be back there in a week's time. Whether you're driving or firing, the Double Fairlies are a little tight on space.

Whether you're driving or firing, the Double Fairlies are a little tight on space. thats true, i spent my summer at the blodge annd on first lighting up the square i found it rather difficult to fire properly having only ever fired standard gauge locos i didt realise that the firing tecnique of a fairlie is different because you cannot swing a shovel properly
