Red Devil
Excellent article, inspiring me to have a go....are all the diecast rtr trams (efe, corgi, etc) all the the same scale? Cheers Rich No, a quick answer, The Corgi Feltham, Blakpool Balloon and Railcoach, along with the EFE Horfield are all 4mm, the Corgi Classics(?) are somewhere near 1/64, there is a Matchbox models of yesteryear Preston type tram that is close to 1/87 and various others in various scales. The Horsfields are very easy to motorise, with either a BEC or ABS type motor bogie, my prefered option though is to use a Halling drive or more recently the truck from trhe new Bachmann Honk Kong tram. The bogie cars are a bit harder depending on what you do to them and how accurate you want the wheelbase and truck type.
