Peter Kazmierczak
Sometimes items appear in strange positions - like this bufferstop plonked alongside the line for no apparent reason. It's not so much the location, on land that was formerly sidings, but the way it's just dumped not parallel to the running lines and facing the wrong way. If I saw that on a layout I'd wonder why it wasn't positioned more carefully. Apologies for the wording on the bufferstop, a sign of our times I'm afraid. Rivercider
That one has been there a long time, I kind of look out for it each time I go past. I guess it's been there since Taunton was re-signalled in the 80s? Also inside the railway fence in that area is a nice collection of young pampas grass and leylandii(?) which will make quite a display in the future if left unattended. cheers
