sixteen 12by 10s
Hi all I am just starting to gather information on Bridge of Orchy station and surrounding area, for a future proposed project. The era will be mid 1980's. I have all the photos I will need of the station and signal box, so areas I am looking at are, the approaches from both ends especial what the level crossing looked like during this period, and the yard. Signaling, will also be important, as I intend to model it before the REBT. I know the approach from the Tydrum end was signaled for both platforms, was there a starter at the end of both platforms at the Gorten end?. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks Gary

sixteen 12by 10s
Cheers Ant I don't know how I missed those photos, but they answer a lot of questions. It looks like the yard was reduced to two roads by the mid 80,s, I had a look at the yard a few weeks ago, only to find that the ramshackle track had been relaid in the last year. The home signal at the Gorten end has got “model me" written all over it, I have a photo of the splitting home at the Tyndrum end. Thanks again Gary
