AberdeenBill
Hi all, Here (if the link works) are what look to be Bird's Eye containers along with fish vans at King's Cross, presumably heading for the widened lines. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153510138327034&set=o.232434836847743&type=3&theater Bill
RMweb Gold Dunsignalling Posted November 1, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 1, 2015 I would say pre 1960, the dark car I think is the older pre Farina Austin A90 the bonnet is too rounded for the Farina and the roof is casting shadows onto the boot making it look like wings of the farina. I tend to agree, though possibly the slightly later/larger A95 (produced 1956-59) because the A90 had a rather flash bit of chrome trim around the front of the rear wheel arch which I think the camera would have picked up. RichardS
The wonderful picture in post #46 of Gt Yarmouth must have been taken before March 1962 as the Breydon Viaduct is visible in the background and demolition started that month. Doesn't help much to date the photo but at least it gives a no later than this date. Regards Richard
Michael Delamar
One at Huskisson goods yard Liverpool in 1964. I’m modelling this line although slightly earlier period. I suppose now I could have one on the layout. If I can find one that is.
