DonB
Did a search but found no reference to this preserved line in Norway, inland from Kristiansand. A side-visit as part of a Baltic cruise allowed a visit to this 3'6" gauge line running along the Otra river valley, with a max gradient of 1:83 (12%). Built in late 1890s with hope of converting to standard gauge, but remained NG. A few pics taken with a 4mega pixel digital camera... Kalmar Werkstands AB Sweden, Scania deisel powered Shunter standing on mixed gauge track, originallthese were exchange sidings with the main rail network. Sorry, I got the focus wrong! I'll post another if interested. Loco maker's plate Water tower at top end of line EDIT.. The site software has cropped the photos at RHS by about 40%. I'll try to correct this ASAP. will need some guidance here!
