iL Dottore
I prepared two versions of the foamcore board mockup of Halwill Signal Box: the difference between the two is that roof B has the longer roof ridge (which I think works), although I am thinking that the roof should be higher and the pitch steeper - although my impressions could be wrong. Otherwise, after a few tweaks, it should more or less capture the essence of Halwill Signal Box Some other thoughts: On the rear "pimple" (the WC) and the veranda I think should be shallower, but at the red line or the green line? The veranda WILL have the windows and front door (not on mockup) The estimated height of the signal box is a fraction less than the height of the Wills "planking" sheet - I will change the height so that the entire height of the embossed sheet can be used eliminating the necessity to cut a sliver off the Wills sheet (a fiddly, and much prone to error, job) I will slightly (vertically) resize and slightly resite the windows so that I can take advantage of the grooving in the Wills sheet planking - again eliminating the need to take off just slivers of plastic. As I will be scratchbuilding the windows, this resizing will not offer any problems for fitting the windows. Perhaps the brick should be replaced by planking? Anyway, here are the pics As always, your comments and observations are sought and welcomed. F
