Adam
Probably 20 years I think - if not longer. The built-up examples I've seen look fine, though following the introduction of the Hornby version I wonder how many DJH actually sell... Adam
Bibby Line
I have one of those kits that I bought when they were first released. I read a review somewhere that said that the firebox tapered the wrong way. It's all about having the time to build I guess but I decided to buy several of the Hornby locos and put the kit on eBay (have not done that yet). RMweb Premium Colin Posted August 9, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 9, 2011 I think you've probably made a very wise choice there. The DJH kit was probably pretty good when it came out, but IMHO it just can't compete with the Hornby loco for detail. I nearly bought a DJH rebuilt WC/BB pacific once, but was put off by what I thought was a very odd shape to the cab - the roof looked too flat and a bit wide from memory.
