devondynosoar118
Thank you, not seen that before, an excellent film. Good old Newton Abbot boys, they didn't half work hard in such difficult conditions. A fitting tribute to all wartime railwaymen, without whom both civilians and the military would have been scuppered.
adanapress
Theres an excellent book, "By Rail to Victory - the story of the LNER in Wartime" by Norman Crump published by the LNER, and thats pretty unusual for a hardback, in 1947. Its 196 pages, well illustrated plus a few maps. Mine was Teddy Kerr's copy - onetime D.M.P. at Cambridge, with his close friends Geoff Ford at Norwich and Terry Miller at Stratford. They made the Great Eastern go with a zing!, it even made money!!!
