wiggoforgold
While working on my Hornby class 31, I've caused the wire leading from the pickup to the motor to become detatched from the bogie. How do I go about reconnecting these? Do I have to remoove the bogies, in which case how is this done?
34theletterbetweenB&D
Easiest to take the bogie out. The bogie is retained in the chassis block by the clip on cover over the worm gear. Seems improbable, but trust me it is so. There are four plastic clips on the sides to release to allow the cover to come up and off - use a torch or similar to see them. The clip together theme than continues on the bogie. The baseplate holds the bogie side frames on, requires the release of six flat clips, three each side of the bogie tower. With the baseplate off the bogie side frames slide off their mountings and you are good to get at the wire soldering point.
