More on Dapol customer service

Forum comments seem to have quietened down on this front of late, but it's still worth an update. (And no, Dapol don't actually pay me to say nice things; they just give me what I consider very good service.)

 

I don't want to give too much detail, in case I create excessive expectations on the part of the entire modelling community. But I have to say my latest exchange with Dapol is right off the top shelf. A product (not bought from them but made by them) went a bit pear-shaped, and like an ass I tampered with it instead of putting in a warranty claim through the seller. In the process I lost a small component. I contacted Dapol direct to see if I could buy a replacement. They are sending me a complete assembly, which includes the component, at no charge for the item or for the postage to Australia.

 

If that isn't a great goodwill gesture, I don't know what is.
